Jeanette (Danner) Rogers, 81, of McLoud, passed away Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, in Shawnee.
She was born April 20, 1936, to C.C. and Stella (Carrell) Danner in Norman.
Jeanette was raised and attended school in Arkansas and Southeast Oklahoma.
She met her future husband, Robert “Bob” Rogers while he was stationed in Oklahoma. They were married on Sept. 13, 1958, in Oklahoma City. Bob and Jeanette were happily married for 55 years and raised five daughters before his passing on March 25, 2014. During their marriage they lived at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, and in Oslo, Norway. They returned to Oklahoma in 1970 and settled in McLoud.
Jeanette enjoyed gardening, listening to country and western music, crocheting, sewing, collecting garden flags, and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Rogers; her parents; C.C. and Stella Danner; sister, Bernice Vinson; brother, Jerry Danner Sr., and three brothers-in-law, Blondie Rankins, Johnny Thornhill and Samuel Kuhlman.
Those left to cherish her memory are her five daughters and three sons-in-law, Judy Rogers of Oklahoma City, Patricia and Vann Morrison Jr. of Moore, Donna and James Chesher of Norman, Brenda Rogers of McLoud, and Rebecca and Michael Burke of Glenwood, Iowa; six grandchildren, Shelby and husband Sean Davis, Daniel Morrison, Taylor Morrison, Jennakah Burke, Robert Burke and Madelyn Rogers; three sisters, Louise Rankins of Tishomingo, Glenda Thornhill of Little Axe, and Shirley Kuhlman of Oklahoma City; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Carol Danner of Shawnee; sister-in-law, Roberta Danner of McLoud; and other loving extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 9, and continue through service time. Family gathering will be from 5 to 7 p.m. to greet friends and family at Cooper Funeral Home.
Service will be 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 10, at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Leslie A. Long officiating. Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
