Wednesday, from 11 a.m. to noon, a Blue Zones Project cooking demonstration is slated at the Shawnee Family YMCA, at 700 W. Saratoga St.

Come taste and learn to make a plant slant dish at the free event. A local expert will teach participants how to make a plant-based meal. The recipe being shared is One Pot Plant-Slant Fettuccine Alfredo with Peas and Roasted Cherry Tomatoes.

Recipe cards will be available during the cooking demonstration.

Following the cooking demonstration, there will be an opportunity to join a Blue Zones Project Potluck Moai.
