Margueriete Wilson, 90, of Earlsboro, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, in Shawnee.

Margueriete Wilson, 90, of Earlsboro, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, in Shawnee.

She was born Oct. 30, 1927, to Daniel Boone and Mary Bethel (Ray) White in Tribbey.

Margueriete married Doc Ross Shelby and began her family in Shawnee. She later married Hobart Wilson and they lived in Eunice, New Mexico, moving to Shawnee and settled in the early 1960s to Earlsboro where she has since resided.

Margueriete worked as a nurse’s aide and housekeeper at Pioneer Nursing Home and Shawnee Medical Center. She also worked as a private nurse at the Grisso Mansion in Seminole.

Margueriete was a fantastic cook and loved to bake pies and cakes. She was known as the Matriarch of the Family. Margueriete enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Madge Coblentz; granddaughter, Tammy Edwards; her parents, Daniel and Mary White; four brothers, Earl White, D.B. White, Thomas White and Gordon “Rabbit” White; and sister, Allene Barnes.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Delores Shelby of Earlsboro; five grandchildren, Stephanie Shelby, Paige Anderson, Steven Shelby, Donnie Coblentz and Kent Craft; five great-great-grandchildren; seven great-great-great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Tiny Oleta and Poochy Wade of Tecumseh; brother and sister-in-law, Burney and Wilma White of South Rock Creek; two sisters-in-law, Louise White of Moore, and Sue White of Seminole; and many loving friends and extended family.

Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 2, and from 1 to 7 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 3, and continue through service time.

Service will be 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 4, at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tony Peak, Tecumseh First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
