The manhunt that began Thursday afternoon ended at 4:48 p.m. with David Wayne Johnson in custody.
On Thursday afternoon, deputies responded to the area of Hardesty Road and Patterson Road in Bethel to a vehicle being reported on a citizen’s property.
A male suspect wearing a plaid shirt, blue jeans, and a blue ball cap was seen near the vehicle and he has been identified as Johnson.
The vehicle was confirmed stolen out of Seminole County and stems from a manhunt from that county on March 6.
Seminole police reported via Facebook Tuesday afternoon that they had a manhunt in the area of Wrangler and Boren Blvd. for Johnson.
Police said Johnson escaped from their custody.
By Tuesday evening, police reported that Johnson was believed to have left the Seminole area and could be in the Harrah-Newalla area.
