LaVonda Cantwell-Hale, 70, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018, in Maud.
LaVonda Cantwell-Hale, daughter of Don and Patsy Atwell, was born on March 6, 1948, in Shawnee and passed away March 18, 2018, in Maud.
LaVonda was united twice in marriage. LaVonda married Gary Cantwell on Feb. 19, 1962, in Shawnee, and three children were born to this union: Galeaha Cantwell-Musgrove, Shane Cantwell, and Tia Cantwell-Mcgeisey. She married Calvin Hale on Aug. 25, 1993, in Oklahoma City.
LaVonda was known to be a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother that took on the hard times with an unabashed positive attitude.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Guy and Margaret Wyatt; mother, Patsy Atwell; aunt, Kay Wyatt; daughter, Galeaha Cantwell-Musgrove; and granddaughter Ricci Jack.
She is survived by one Uncle Jerry Wyatt and his wife Barbra of Rockport, Texas and their five children Brandy Detherage, Todd Hightower, Russell Wyatt, Robert Wyatt, Mitchel Wyatt; three siblings, two brothers Terry Lindsey and his wife Julia of Longdale, Oklahoma and their four children Buddy Lindsey, Dilym Formanski, Kevin Formanski, and Daniel Formanski; Ricky Lindsey and his wife Deborah of Bolingbook, Illinois and their two children Kimberlee Lindsay and Amber Lindsey; one sister Liz Moulton and her husband Michael of Longdale, Oklahoma and her two children Loretta Mooney and Don Mooney; one son Shane Cantwell and his wife Debra Hines-Cantwell of Titusville, Florida; one daughter Tia Cantwell-Mcgeisey of Shawnee, Oklahoma, seven grandchildren James Harris, Emilie Williamson, Amanda Harris, Tyler Cantwell, Ronne Staton, Adyson Cantwell, and Cheyenne Harris, six great grandchildren Joshua Williamson, Jacob Williamson, Alexa Dempsey, Lana Williamson, Bryson Dempsey, and McKenzie Williamson; and many other relatives and friends that will dearly miss her.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m., Thursday, March 22, at Resthaven Funeral Home.
