The search is on for a bank robbery suspect who held up the IBC Bank on North Harrison in Shawnee Saturday.
Shawnee Police Detective Jason Crouch said the FBI is taking the lead on the case and hope someone may recognize the suspect from the photos captured by the bank's cameras.
Crouch said the white male went into the lobby of IBC about 11:30 a.m. Saturday. The bank is typically open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
The suspect gave the bank teller a note demanding money, Crouch said. The teller complied and gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect left the bank walking southbound.
Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI Tip line, 405-290-7770, Crouch said.
Shawnee police also will forward any tips to the FBI.
