April 15, 2018, brought to close the life of Carolyn Hancock-Flatt at the age of 73.

Carolyn was born July 8, 1944, in Wetumka, the daughter of Sidney and Dorothy (Meek) Landers.

Carolyn will be remembered as a huge sports fan, supporting the Oklahoma City Thunder as well as the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

She retired from Tinker Air Force Base in 2005 as a shipping and receiving clerk. Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Terri Cleghorn, and her husband, Keith, her sister-in-law Barbara Landers, four granddaughters; Amy Bagwell and her husband Marcus, Rebecca Chapman and her husband Zack, Melissa Hancock and Heather Cleghorn.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother Eddie Landers, sister Darlene Kirkland and her son Deward “Jr” Hancock and her husband Donald Flatt.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, April 19, at Eagle Heights Church, with burial following in the Newcastle Cemetery.
