Two people were injured Friday in a crash on U.S. 177 and Hazel Dell Road in Pottawatomie County.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a 2014 Subaru driven by Wilfred Tulgetske, age 86, of McLoud, was traveling eastbound on Hazel Dell Road and was stopped at the stop sign.
A 2005 Dodge Stratus driven by Keenan Fortney, 21, of Yukon, was southbound on U.S. 177 and struck the Subaru as Tulgetske attempted to cross the highway.
Troopers said Fortney was transported by REACT to Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City, where he was treated for unspecified injuries and released.
Tulgetske was transported by REACT to St. Anthony Shawnee Hospital and then transferred by REACT to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, where he was admitted in serious condition with trunk internal and trunk external injuries.
Cause of Collision was failure to yield from a stop sign, the OHP said.
Seat belts were in use.
