Kenneth Ray Wallgren, 79, of Tecumseh, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2018.

He was born June 19, 1938, to Louis Wallgren and Celia Fennell Wallgren in Macomb.

Kenneth was raised in the Macomb and St. Louis area, and graduated with the class of 1956 from St. Louis High School.

Kenneth married Floretta Morris on Nov. 19, 1976, in Durant.

Kenneth had a sense of humor, and was known to be a little ornery. He enjoyed his trucking and gravel business, and restoring old cars. He was a lifetime member of the Shawnee Elks Lodge #657.

Kenneth was a member of Romulus Baptist Church since 1948, where he attended.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Celia Wallgren; and sister, Wanda Starr.

He is survived by his wife Floretta of 41 years; one son and four daughters, Rickey Wallgren of Maud, Donna Wallgren of Moore, Kay Wallgren Vaughan of Macomb, and Sharon Wallgren of Yukon, and Yolanda Morris of Maud; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Louis Gene Wallgren of Macomb; special nephew, Roy Hammons and wife Debbie; and many more nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and many friends.

The family would like to thank all who cared for Kenneth, Lewie Dabbs, Judy Sing and Heartland Hospice.

Casket bearers will be Bob James, Jack Reece, Leonard Gillham, Lewie Dabbs, David Weiss and Britt Waltman.

Honorary bearers will be Wendel Weaver, Bud Patten, Gerald Huff, C.L. Barnett and Tom Moore.

The family has designated Romulus Baptist Church or Romulus Cemetery Fund as appropriate for memorials in lieu of flowers.

In honor of Kenneth’s wishes please wear your favorite pair of overalls or jeans attire to the service.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m., Friday, May 18, and continue through service time. Family gathering to greet friends and family will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, May 18, at Cooper Funeral Home.

Service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, May 19, at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Darrell Witten of Heartland Hospice of Shawnee and Reverend Tony Back, Romulus Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Romulus Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
