Carylon Sue Davis, 72, was born Sept. 22, 1945, in Prague, to Oscar Burchette and Mary Ellen (Wilkins) Burchette. She went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 30, 2018.

Carylon was the youngest of nine children.

She worked for Shawnee Milling Company in her earlier years and then worked for Gail Fletcher at Shelter Insurance for 32 years.

She married the love of her life Glenn Davis on Sept. 6, 1968, and was blessed with four children. They spent 48 years together before he passed away. Carylon was a joyous person and found fulfillment in giving to others.

She assisted with the VBS program at Meeker Assembly of God and taught the 4-6 year olds in her Sunday School Class for the past 40 years. She also cooked meals for the children on Wednesday at church. She made desserts for the youth center in town every Thursday. She also loved having a perpetual garage sale but gave more than she sold to those in need. She helped to send approximately 200 children and youth to camp or on mission trips. She also gave back to families in need in Guatemala. Carylon was known for her casseroles and desserts that she made for anyone in town that was in need of extra love.

Carylon was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and seven siblings, Lavada, Forrest, Jack, Ray, Barbara, Brian and Max.

She is survived by her children, Ricky and wife Lisa Davis, Terri and husband Jeffery Hall, Christopher Davis and wife Judith, and Anthony and Tammy; grandchildren, Braiden, Leslie, John Luke, Baylee, Christian Zane, William, Bryce Gabriel, Jeffery Jr, Callie Dawn and Emma Leigh; great-granddaughter, Eleanor Bell; sibling, Shelby Burchette and wife Mae; cousin, Eugene Burchette and wife Frankie; as well of a host of other family members and dear friends.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 1, at Resthaven Funeral Home. Viewing will continue 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Saturday, June 2, at Meeker Assembly of God.

Services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, June 2, at Meeker Assembly of God with Pastor William Forman and Pastor Paul Calmes officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery.
