Hubert Moucka passed from this life on July 6, 2017, at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Shawnee surrounded by his family.
Hubert was born on Aug. 9, 1927, at the family home in Sparks to Arnost and Francis Moucka. He was the youngest of nine children, following Mary, Jarmilla, Laude, Stanley, Francis, Flossie, Helen and Violet.
Hubert joined the 45th Infantry and fought in both World War II and Korea.
He returned to Shawnee and married Paulyne Tinker in November of 1951. Together they had four children: Sandee, Becky, Michael and Jana.
Hubert retired from Tinker AFB in 1987 and worked the family farm north of Meeker until his passing.
Hubert later married JoAnn Davis and then Gertie Swinney.
Hubert was a simple, hard working man with a wicked sense of humor.
Those left to remember Hubert are his children and their spouses: Becky and Tom Okutsu, Michael and Jamie Moucka, and Jana Fields; grandchildren: Heather Cordray Richardson, Matthew and Katie Briggs, Cody and Bobby Norman, Mystique Moucka, Chanse and Sarah Moucka, Sean Moucka and fiancée Sarah Stuckey, Kristofer Moucka, Saylor Fields and Seth Fields; great-grandchildren: Gabrielle Richardson, Denton Berry, Paisley Reece, Alyssa Moucka, Ayden Moucka, Thea Moucka, Reed Moucka, Ware Stuckey, Zoee Stuckey, and Breckan Ramsey; and also, his special friend Chris Myer as well as the Carter Homehealth care team especially his nurse Jennifer and physical therapist Brandy.
Hubert was preceded in death by his parents, all of his siblings and his daughter, Sandee.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to help offset the cost of maintaining the Czech National Cemetery at NBU 2602, Prague, Oklahoma 74864.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 11, at Czech National Cemetery South of Prague.
