The Oklahoma Secondary Schools Athletic Association (OSSAA) released its preliminary Average Daily Membership (ADM) numbers for the 2018-2019 school year.

For the 2017-2018 year, Shawnee High School came in at 1305.54. The 2018-2019 calculation shows the average went up to 1343.33.

Others schools in the area that increased in ADM were Tecumseh High School, 653.15 to 655.02, Dale High School 222.05 to 230.95, Asher High School, 73.55 to 88.26, Earlsboro High School, 82.19 to 87.64, Macomb, 79.40 to 80.76 and Maud, 95.40 to 106.81.

Shawnee went 32nd in 2017-2018 up to the 30th spot for 2018-2019. The top 32 schools make up 6A.

Area schools that decreased in ADM were McLoud High School, 474.06 to 448.37, Seminole High School, 437.55 to 416.94, Bethel High School, 422.93 to 390.33, Chandler High School, 322.61 to 320.40, Prague High School, 322.67 to 294.69 and Meeker High School, 288.38 to 280.25.

According to the Oklahoma State Department of Education's website ADM is calculated by the average of total days of membership, present and absent, divided by days taught.

It appears that none of the schools moved enough to change class.

The OSSA website said that challenges to the tentative numbers must be turned in by 3 p.m. on Aug. 3.
