The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is seeking help investigating a hit-and-run in the state.
On Friday, July 27, 2018, at 1:22 a.m., a Ninnekah Police Officer was patrolling United States 277 about 1.5 miles west of United States 81 in the city of Ninnekah when he observed a deceased male in the road. The investigation showed that a westbound vehicle on US 277 had struck the man. Oklahoma Highway Patrol units from the Traffic Homicide and Troop G are assisting Ninnekah with the fatality pedestrian collision.
The deceased male was transported to the Office of the Chief’s Medical Examiner’s Office, where identification along with manner and cause of death will be determined. OHP and Ninnekah Police are requesting the public’s assistance with anyone who may have seen a male walking on US 277 near Matty’s RV Park or anyone that has information on the investigation or identify of the man.
A pair of black and grey Nike Shox was found near the scene. The male was wearing a blue shirt with the word "McKesson" on the front of the shirt and he also had some tattoos.
