BYNG — Tecumseh rebounded from an 8-6 loss to Holdenville with a 9-1 victory over Prague Friday at the Back-to-School Classic.
Harley Sturm gave up five Prague hits and walked two in five innings.
Tecumseh registered 12 hits as leadoff hitter Channing Scallorn went 3 for 3 with a triple and two singles.
Registering two hits apiece were Ayzia Shirey, Lauren Taylor and Sturm, the latter with a double.
Tecumseh left only three runners on base.
In the opener, Tecumseh led Holdenville 6-3 after five innings, only to watch Holdenville net five runs in the top of the sixth.
Scallorn and Shirey notched two singles each with teammate Caitlin Anderson adding a double, Tecumseh’s only extra-base hit of the game.
Tecumseh was hurt by three errors.
Tecumseh, 1-2, will continue Classic play today with games against Seminole (10 a.m.,) and Byng (11:30 a.m.)
