The Grey Wolves Jazz Band will perform at 6 p.m., Friday, Sept. 7, for the annual Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art membership event. Not a museum member yet? Join online or the night of the event. This event is free for all museum members. Join the museum community for some swinging music, scrumptious barbeque, and desserts.

Enjoy jazz tunes of the '20s, '30s and '40s performed by the 18-piece Grey Wolves Jazz Band. These musicians will delight you with the sounds of Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, Johnny Mathis, Glenn Miller, Billie Holiday and more.

The Grey Wolves Jazz Band started when several band members gathered high school friends to play pep songs in 2014 for a 1964 class reunion. Since that time, the group has grown to 18 band members who play at festivals and concerts throughout the year.

“This group has become a fan favorite over the last few years at the museum’s annual arts festival, and we are delighted they have chosen to donate their time and talents to entertain the museum community again this year,” stated Tonya Ricks, director of development.

A membership with year-long benefits of free admission, discounts in the gift shop and art classes, and more can be purchased at or at the front door. Membership is $35 for an individual or $50 for a family.

The Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art is a big part of the community. In the last year, thousands of people stepped through its doors to take in centuries of world art and history. Additionally, the museum impacts over 18,000 Oklahoma K-12 students each year.

The museum is located on the former St. Gregory’s campus at 1900 W. MacArthur in Shawnee.
