The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a crash involving a tractor-trailer rig and a pickup ended with one person killed in Seminole County.
The accident occurred about 1:34 p.m. on SH 56 near CR3690, which is three miles north of Cromwell.
Bret Smith, 45, Davis, died at the scene from multiple injuries, the OHP said.
He was driving a 1998 Ford pickup northbound on SH 56 while a 1994 semi driven by Clay White, 48, Davis, was southbound.
The patrol said Smith's pickup went left of center into the southbound lanes and struck the semi's trailer.
Smith was pinned about one hour before being freed by Wewoka firefighters.
Cause of the crash was left of center while meeting, the patrol said. Smith was not wearing a seat belt, the trooper noted on the initial report.
