DURANT — Three Tecumseh errors proved costly Friday as Wilburton registered a 5-3 victory at the Durant Tournament.
Harley Sturm allowed five runs in six innings but three of the runs were unearned.
Tecumseh led just once, 2-1, after scoring twice in the bottom of the first inning. The Lady Savages scored a single tally in the sixth.
Sturm gave up five hits, including a double. She whiffed two and walked six.
Emily Bingham posted a double among Tecumseh’s five hits. Channing Scallorn went 2 for 3 with a run scored. Ayzia Shirey and Bingham also scored. Taylor Frizzell had a run-scoring single.
Shirey and Sturm stole a base.
Wilburton had two errors, leading to two unearned runs.
Wilburton managed three runs in the third.
The remainder of the Durant Tournament was cancelled because of rain.
Tecumseh, 9-9, will be on the road both Monday (Bethel) and Tuesday (Newcastle).
