OKLAHOMA CITY — Madison Gabeau recorded two pitching victories, including a no-hitter, as Meeker swept Heritage Hall 3-0 and 10-5 Tuesday.
In the opener, Gabeau compiled 14 strikeouts and didn’t give up a walk in seven innings. Gabeau threw 87 pitches. She also joined teammates Kacey Babek and Aubrey Pruitt with a double.. Gabeau and Pruitt had two hits apiece to spark Meeker’s eight-hit attack.
Madison Hedge drove in one of Meeker’s runs. The game was scoreless until Meeker scored twice in the top of the sixth, then added a single run in the seventh.
In the nightcap, Meeker outhit the Chargers 13-7 with Madison Buoy, Pruitt, Babek, Hedge and Gabeau stroking two hits apiece.
Lexi Lopez doubled and drove in three runs while Gabeau had three runs batted in.
Darien Edmonds posted a run-scoring double.
Gabeau, in her second seven-inning pitching stint of the day, threw 99 pitches. She gave up seven hits, struck out 11 and didn’t give up a walk.
Meeker, 12-7. Is scheduled to be home Thursday at 5 p.m. opposite Lexington.
