LUTHER — Prague scored a touchdown via the rush, the pass and an interception return to knock off Luther 22-8 Friday night.
A Brayden McGinnis 15-yard pass to Jake Schultz and the ensuing two-point conversion run by McGinnis carried the Red Devils to an 8-0 halftime advantage.
The Red Devils upped the count to 14-0 when Schultz intercepted a tipped pass over the middle and sprinted 45 yards for a touchdown
Junior Trevor Mills then converted the 2-point conversion on a run.
Luther made it 16-8 in the third quarter on a 4-yard scoring pass and a 2-point conversion run
The hosts then drove inside Prague’s 10-yard line, only to lose a fumble to Red Devil Dalton Cooper at the 5.
Senior Justin Morlan proceded to run 95 yards for a touchdown off an inside trap play with seven minutes to play.
“We blocked it well,” Prague coach John Graham said. “We were pinned back there but we were able to break one.
“Our motto is “all in” and it took everybody tonight. We have had a lot of injuries but I am proud of the way we fought.”
Prague wrapped up the non-district part of its slate at 2-1. The Red Devils will open district play Friday at Holdenville.
