ASHER — The Indians of Asher steamrolled Moss, 14-0, and New Lima, 12-0, Thursday in district tournament play.
Both games were cut short (three innings) because of the run rule.
Opposite Moss in Game 1, Asher tallied six runs in the first, five runs in the second and three runs in the third.
Patch Hamilton clubbed a home run and double, accounting for three runs batted in. Braden Sanders added a 2-run homer.
Asher compiled nine hits to go with two walks. Mike McDonald doubled, singled and drove in three runs while Jake Dobbs added a two-bagger.
Dobbs also collected the pitching victory. He fanned six and didn’t issue a walk in three innings.
Asher combined six hits with seven walks versus New Lima.
McDonald led the way with a home run, single and six runs batted in. Dobbs doubled.
Trevor Martin, the winning hurler, struck out seven.
