McLOUD — McLoud split two games Thursday, defeating Meeker 14-11 in the opener before bowing 13-7 to Seminole.

Opposite Meeker, McLoud leadoff batter Shyann Shipman went 4 for 5, all singles. Karlie Norwood, Makyna Higdon and Lexie Boyer of McLoud recorded three hits apiece with Higdon and Boyer tripling while Norwood and Boyer doubled.

Jessie Wooten and Rachelle Stephens had two singles apiece.

For Meeker, Darien Edmonds doubled twice, as did Lexi Lopez. Madison Gabeau also doubled. Aubrey Pruitt added two singles.

Seminole defeated McLoud 13-7 but dropped a 3-0 decision to Meeker.

Gabeau sparkled on the mound against Seminole, surrendering just four singles while registering eight strikeouts. She didn’t walk a batter.

Gabeau also singled twice while Madison Hedge delivered a run-scoring double.

In McLoud’s loss to Seminole, Norwood and Stephens tripled.
