CUSHING — Two-hole hitter Hailey Williams went 3 for 4 with a game-high five runs batted in Thursday as Chandler mowed down Cushing 11-5.

Williams tripled and singled in an eight-run explosion in the top of the third. She also drove in a run with a fifth-inning single.

Jaelyn Robertson provided two doubles for Chandler, 22-8. Morgan Fowble went 2 for 4 with two singles.

Kylee Lynch, who started on the mound for Chandler, didn’t give up a run in three innings. She was touched for one hit, struck out five and walked two.

Makalyn Herring hurled the final four innings for Chandler. Herring surrendered five runs but all were unearned. Both teams finished with five errors.

Chandler is scheduled to play host to Perry today but heavy rain has been predicted.

Chandler is slated to entertain Tecumseh at 5 p.m. Monday.
