MOORE — Ashley Kasterke recorded two aces, 14 kills, 14 digs and two blocks Thursday but Shawnee still dropped a 27-25, 22-25, 19-25, 22-25 decision to Westmoore.

Shawnee, ranked 11th in Class 6A, also received four aces, 18 kills, one block and six digs from Brooklyn Fluke.

Westmoore isn’t ranked.

Olivia Barlean recorded 20 digs for Shawnee, which dropped to 22-8.

“We played well the first and last set,” Shawnee coach Julia Holland said. “We did have a nine-point lead in the first set and were able to win in the end. The second and third set we just got down and dug a hole which was hard to get back out. The fourth set we were able to play strong and our defense got better, but came up short. We struggled in our serv receives and missed several serves in crucial times.”

Regan Wagner posted two aces, two digs and a kill while Scotlyn Britt had an ace to go with five digs.

Shyra Crowley chipped in with three kills and a block.

Shawnee will play Tuesday at Noble, then conclude the regular season Thursday, Oct. 4 at home against El Reno.

Regional pairings will be released next week.
