Cause of a structure fire remains under investigation by Shawnee fire marshals.
Shawnee firefighters responded to the 4700 block of North Harrison about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday for that blaze.
Both northbound and southbound traffic along North Harrison had to be diverted by Shawnee police as fire hoses stretched across the four-lane road to a fire hydrant as firefighters extinguished that fire.
Shawnee Fire Department Battalion Chief Tom Larman said the building was searched, but was found to be vacant.
The building, a former home turned business, has quite a bit of fire damage to the kitchen and living room areas, Larman said, with that fire also spreading to the outside eaves of the structure.
Shawnee Fire Marshal David Anderson is probing cause of the blaze, Larman said.
No injuries were reported.
