Juanita Walker, 82, of Shawnee, passed away Monday, Oct. 1, 2018, at her home.

Juanita Walker, 82, of Shawnee, passed away Monday, Oct. 1, 2018, at her home.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 5, at Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee.

Juanita was born Oct. 20, 1935, in Asher to Willard and Dorthy (Gregg) Dobbs.

She married Leonard Walker on May 29, 1956, they enjoyed 62 years of marriage prior to his death earlier this year. Juanita loved children and worked as a teacher for 2-year-olds at Liberty Academy for over 20 years. She also loved her dogs, but nothing was more important to Juanita than her time she was able to spend with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, four sisters and one grandson.

She is survived by her one and only daughter, Terry Lynn (Walker) Pitts and her husband Charles; three grandsons and spouses: Jordan and Katie Pitts, Cameron Pitts, and Christian Pitts and his fiancé Amber Couvillier; two great-grandchildren: Ayden Talmadge Pitts and Korah Faith Pitts; a brother, Leroy Dobbs; a great number of nieces and nephews; and many other wonderful friends.

Services are under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.
