TUTTLE – After losing 17-1 to Tuttle in the opening round, the Bethel Lady Wildcats responded with a 3-2 win over Cache to stay alive in their regional tournament.

Lilla Wade scored the lone run for Bethel after stealing home. She also had one of three hits for the Lady Wildcats.

Rian Gamble went 2 for 3 in the loss.

In the second game, Bethel scored all three of their runs in the first inning. Gamble, Audrey Wade and Skylar Fletcher all crossed home plate in the inning. Wade, Skylar Pollard and Jordyn Zachary all had RBIs in the inning.

Reanna McGowen, Skylar Fletcher and Pollard all recorded two hits apiece in the win. Gamble, Wade and Zachary each had one hit apiece.

Zachary pitched both games going 1-1 on the day. She pitched a total of 12 1/3 innings and struck out 17 total batters.

Bethel will return to action Thursday to face Byng. First pitch is scheduled for a 12 p.m. start.
