A suspect arrested following a pursuit of a stolen vehicle in Shawnee last month is now formally charged with numerous felony counts.

Ronald Scott Hulvey, 46, is charged in Pottawatomie County District Court with possession of stolen vehicle, possession of a firearm after former felony conviction, knowingly concealing stolen property, endangering others while eluding police officers and running a road block, all felonies.

Charges are the result of a September pursuit that weaved through several areas of Shawnee.

Shawnee Police Cpl. Vivian Lozano-Stafford said the owner of a stolen trailer and skid steer unit was following a Ford pickup pulling the stolen property and contacted police, then began giving them updated information on the whereabouts of the property.

In the area of Harrison Street near Grant Street, officers spotted the stolen trailer and equipment and attempted a traffic stop. Lozano-Stafford said the chase continued northbound and then onto eastbound roads over to Bryan Street, then ended in the area of 45th and Harrison with Hulvey's arrest.

Hulvey was booked into the Pottawatomie County Public Safety Center on several complaints and remains jailed on $25,000 bond.

His next court date is set Nov. 6.
