The Wolves took fourth out of 14 and the Lady Wolves were one place better, coming in third out of 15 teams on their first official swimming event of the year at the Harrah Invitational.

Both teams had outstanding individual performances in addition to the great relay team results.

Leticia Cervantes won the 200-yard individual medley race. She won by almost four seconds. Isabell Webb also picked up 1st place points for the Lady Wolves when she won the 50Y freestyle. She finished at 26.61 and second place finished at 26.69. Jordyn Sateren placed sixth in the 50Y freestyle.

Sateren also took third in the 100Y freestyle. Savannah Smith took ninth for Shawnee in the 100Y freestyle.

Aspen Chapline took eighth in the 200Y freestyle. Breeanna Lee and Madeline Motley came in at 8th and 10th in the 100Y Butterfly event.

Cervantes placed 3rd in the 500Y freestyle and Motley took 8th in that event.

In the 100Y backstroke, Webb took 3rd and Chapline came in 9th.

Smith picked up more points for the Lady Wolves when she took 5th in the 100Y breaststroke.

The Lady Wolves also had success in the relays. In the 200Y medley, Webb, Smith, Cervantes, and Sateren took 3rd as a team.

In the 200Y freestyle relay, Cervantes, Lee, Sateren, and Webb took 2nd behind a Carl Albert team. In the 400Y freestyle relay, Chapline, Lee, Smith, and Motley took fifth.

The Wolves had success in individual events as well.

Trent Ogden picked up a win in the 100Y backstroke and second in the 50Y freestyle.

Austin Wiewel took eighth in the 200Y freestyle race and Austin Smallwood came in 10th.

Kiergan Gibson took sixth in the 200Y individual medley. Josh Coons took 10th. Coons also placed eighth in the 100Y butterfly.

The boys' relay teams also did well Saturday. Ogden, Gibson, Coons, and Wiewel took third in the 200Y medley relay.

The 200Y freestyle relay team took second. The team of Ogden, Troy Rakestraw, Gibson, and Wiewel came in just behind Fort Gibson.

The Wolves team of Ryan Staal, Austin Smallwood, Namer Holbert, and Coons took ninth in the 400Y freestyle relay.
