ASHER — The Lady Indians of Asher rolled out to a 30-17 halftime lead on the way to a 58-31 thrashing of Tupelo Friday night.

Ryan Herndon sparked Asher with team-leading totals in 3-point field goals (4) and points (20).

Sarah Fleming added 18 points and Bailey Larman chipped in with nine, including a 3-pointer.

Fleming recorded 11 points in the first quarter.

Herndon cashed in two treys in both the second and fourth quarters.

Asher, 1-1, was 9 of 13 from the free-throw line.


Patch Hamilton recorded 19 points and 10 rebounds as Asher whipped Tupelo 58-41.

Mike McDonald added 14 points, including two 3-pointers, and Ty Herndon came in with 11.

Asher led 28-13 at halftime and 40-24 after three quarters.

Asher outscored the visitors 15-3 in the second quarter.

“That changed the game for us,” Asher coach Scott Hamilton said.

Both Asher squads will play at Earlsboro Tuesday night.
