Filing continued Tuesday for candidates wishing to file for school board seats in 15 Pottawatomie County School Districts, but the filing ends Wednesday at 5 p.m.

Pottawatomie County Election Board Secretary Jeannie Stover said the official filing period ends at 5 p.m. Wednesday, so all candidate filings must file paperwork by that deadline at the Pottawatomie County Election Board office, 14101 Acme Road, in Shawnee.

The following filings are posted for each district as of 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Bethel School District---Office No. 4: Joe Morlan.

Shawnee School District---Office No. 1: Larry Walker.

Grove School District---Office No. 1: No filings yet.

Pleasant School District---Office No. 1: Jerry L. Skaggs.

South Rock Creek School District---Office No. 1: Bud Jeffrey.

North Rock Creek School District---Office No. 4: Sherri Stacy.

McLoud School District---Office No. 4: Doug VanScoyoc.

Dale School District---Office No. 4: Josh Clark and Chris Ross.

Asher School District---Office No. 4: Jacob Leba and Trent Boles.

Wanette School District---Office No. 4: Alan Jones.

Maud School District---Office No. 4: No filings yet.

Gordon Cooper Tech Center---Office No. 1: Karl Dean Evans Jr.

Tecumseh Unexpired 4yr term ---Office No. 3: Terry L. O'Rorke.

For races that develop, the Board of Education positions will be filled at the Board of Education Primary Election scheduled February 12, 2019, and the Board of Education General Election on Tuesday, April 2, 2019.

If only two candidates file, the position will be filled at the General Election. If more than two candidates file, a Primary Election will be held. If no candidate receives more than 50 percent of the total votes cast in the Primary Election, the two candidates receiving the highest number of votes will meet in the General Election.
