JONES — A leaky third quarter was too much for Bethel’s boys to overcome Tuesday night in a 78-73 setback to Jones.

Jones outscored Bethel 25-15 in the third quarter to claim a 52-45 advantage. Bethel outscored the hosts 28-26 over the final eight minutes.

Jaylon Gordon collected 10 of his Bethel-high 19 points in the fourth quarter. Gordon had two 3-pointers in the game.

Also scoring in double figures for Bethel were Drae Wood with 15 and Anthony Franklin with 14.

Bethel will combat Perkins-Tryon at 8:30 Thursday in the Global Production Solutions Classic in Bethel.
