The annual Christmas parade is tonight.

Safe Events For Families (SEFF) has chosen a 1950s theme for floats and entrants for the event this year.

The parade will travel along Main Street from Beard to Minnesota, and several stages and performers will line the route so attendees can spread out and see the attractions better, SEFF member Ed Bolt said.

Performers will begin entertaining the crowd at 6 p.m. and the parade will start at 7 p.m.

As they are every year, several side streets near Main will be closed, some as early as 4 p.m. — reopening again after 9 p.m. Roads affected are between Kickapoo and Pennsylvania, generally between Ninth and Seventh Streets.

Parade entrants can begin lining up at 4:30 p.m.
