Prague High School senior Colton Williams, one of the two November finalists, was named The Shawnee News-Star and Patriot Auto Group Student of the Month for 2018-19.

Because of his academic excellence, moral integrity and volunteerism, Williams is now a finalist for a chance to win a car.

Nominator Stephanie Lee said Williams' positive attitude is contagious.

“He displays a great deal of character, good morals, and is an all-around great student,” she said. “He shows a great deal of discipline and determination.”

Williams spends time as a volunteer at school and in the community.

He is a member of the FFA, is vice president of our Business Professionals of America chapter, Lee said, as well as secretary of the National Honor Society, president of Student Council, and is on the Vision Bank Financial Leadership Council, among other leadership roles.

“Colton was selected by Canadian Valley Electric Co-Op to be their delegate on the Oklahoma Youth Tour in Washington D.C. This summer,” Lee said.

She said Williams works the school's concession stands, volunteers for the Christmas Tree Food Drive and several projects tied to his membership with the FFA.

Williams attends Seminole State College concurrently this year; he is plans to attend The University of Oklahoma, majoring in meteorology.
