TULSA – The No. 11 The Lady Wolves pulled off a bit of an upset with a 57-43 win over No. 4 Sand Springs.
“I thought we played some of the best defensive basketball of the season,” Coach Wendi Wells said. “We stuck to the game plan and when they went on a run, we had someone step up and knock down a big shot.”
Lauren Fields had a game-high 24 points.
Makyra Tramble added 13 points and Emily Hudson was the third Shawnee player in double figures with 10 points.

The Lady Wolves' consolation championship for Sunday was cancelled.
The Shawnee boys lost 56-49 to Class 4A No. 9 Daniel Webster in the Bishop Kelley Tournament Friday evening.
The game was tied 16-16 after the first quarter. Shawnee found themselves down 28-26 at halftime.
DeAndre Love led Shawnee with 18 points. Tyler Huebert finished second on the team with 11 points.
Shawnee will face 4A No. 18 McClain Saturday at 11:30 a.m.
