ASHER – After a win in the opening round to Tupelo, Asher dropped consecutive games in the Pontotoc Tournament.

In the game Friday, Asher lost to Class 2A No. 3 Vanoss 64-54.

“There was a little shock factor but we started to play well once we adjusted to their pace,” Coach Scott Hamilton said.

After only scoring four points in the first quarter. Asher trailed 31-22 at halftime.

Patch Hamilton led the Indians with 20 points. Mike McDonald added 10 points. Chase Eckart added 8 points and Tray Odell chipped in six.

Asher lost 57-33 to No. 14 Allen in Saturday’s contest.

Asher will get a chance at revenge when they travel to Allen Dec. 14.
