PRAGUE —Brayden McGinnis and Isaac Bloomer collected 17 points each Friday night, propelling Prague to a 73-71 triumph over the Clinton White team in semifinal action of the Prague Chamber Czech Holiday Classic.

Bloomer canned 7 of 9 free throws on the night while McGinnis was 6 of 7.

Prague led 53-47 going into the final quarter.

Zadden Jones of Prague added 13 points, six of which came in the opening quarter.

Teammate Haden Hale chipped in with two 3-point field goals.

Prague was 20 of 28 from the line for 71.4 percent. Clinton also shot well from the line at 18 of 23 for 78.2 percent.

Coach Nate Greer’s Red Devil squad will oppose the winner of Friday’s semifinal between Guthrie and Woodward in Saturday’s 8:30 p.m. championship matchup.


One day after suffering their first loss, the Lady Red Devils blitzed Cleveland 57-34.

Junior Taylor Hodges was the ringleader with a 26-point outburst which included four 3-point field goals and an 8-of-8 outing at the free–throw line.

“That was the best game of her career — offensively, defensively and rebounding,” Prague coach Benny Burnett said. “It was a total game. That’s what she’s capable of.”

Caya Wright and Chloe McClendon added eight points apiece as Prague went to 4-1 overall. Prague suffered a 40-33 loss to Guthrie Thursday night in the opening round.

Jaycee Johnson and Raylie VanZant chipped in with a 3-point field goal apiece.

Prague outscored Cleveland 30-17 in the second half.

Burnett’s squad was 14 of 16 from the charity stripe.

Prague will take on Bridge Creek in Saturday’s 1 p.m. consolation championship game.
