The day after Christmas brought dreary skies and rainfall through much of the day. According to the Oklahoma Mesonet, Shawnee had tallied more than an inch of rainfall by Wednesday evening, while other areas in central Oklahoma received even more. Rain was forecasted to continue overnight, with a 100 percent chance of rainfall predicted to bring up to another inch. According to the National Weather Service, Thursday is expected to be sunny with temperatures rising to 54 degrees and then falling to around 47 degrees during the remainder of the day.
