SHAWNEE – Victoria Blankenship dropped 20 points, and the Lady Bison cruised to a 79-53 victory over Central Christian (KS) Monday evening.

OBU led 20-14 after the first quarter. Central Christian played much better in the second quarter, yet the Lady Bison held a 38-30 lead at the break.

Blankenship led the way with 12 points in the first half. She scored eight points and hauled in nine rebounds in the second half, finishing with 10 boards.

Autumn Avina made plays all over the court. In the first half alone she had seven points, five steals, eight rebounds and three assists. Avina ended with 14 points, nine steals and nine rebounds and seven assists.

OBU stretched their lead to 60-44 after the third quarter. The Lady Bison outscored Central Christian 19-9 in the fourth frame, ending the blowout.

Mikayla Shulanberger scored 18 points and snagged three offensive rebounds.

Mia Cherry was the fourth Lady Bison in double figures with 12 points. All four of Cherry's rebounds came at the offensive end.

OBU (4-6, 3-1) will return to Great American Conference action with a home game against Henderson State Dec. 3.
