Genice Ann Glover Hopkins left this life peacefully to be with the Lord on Dec. 20, 2018, at age 77.

A celebration of her life and memorial service will be held at Ranch Drive Baptist Church on Jan. 5, 2019, at 10 a.m. with Pastor Dr. Bob Ryan officiating. A fellowship meal and balloon release will follow after the services for friends and family.

Genice was born Feb. 22, 1941, the oldest of twins to Paul Raymond and Minnie Irene Ballard Glover in Shawnee.

She graduated from Bethel High School in 1959.

She married James Monroe Hopkins on Oct. 30, 1959, and moved to Ponca City to reside for 59 years to raise their three children. Jim and Genice were married for 57 years when Jim passed away.

Genice was a homemaker most of her years and enjoyed sewing, crafts, reading, listening to music, playing games and most of all spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children Jarita Jester (Mark), Paul Hopkins (Amy), and Vance Hopkins (Laura), 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, two sisters Claudia Wellman and twin sister Geneva Glover, two sisters-in-law Helen and Anita Sue, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jim, granddaughter Brandy, two brothers, Ray and Jim, and two sisters, Lovetia and Beatrice.
