The Shawnee City Commission meeting originally scheduled for Jan. 22 has been moved up a week to Jan. 14.

Because of the shift, several planning items — along with their scheduled public hearings — are shifting, as well.

Four projects that went through the Planning Commission this week will now go before City Commissioners next month.

“We are moving our public hearing items to the Feb. 4 meeting to give due notice,” Interim Community Development Director Jared Cooper said Friday.

The projects are:

• a rezone request for 323 S. Eden;

• a rezone request for 420 W. Federal;

• a conditional-use permit (CUP) request for 806 E. Grant; and

• a conditional-use permit (CUP) request for 3 Burlison Road

The hearings will take place at 6 p.m. at the Shawnee City Commission meeting, Tuesday, Feb. 4, in the Bertha Ann Young City Commission Chambers at City Hall, at 16 W. 9th St.
