VARNUM – The Lady Indians were unsuccessful in their trip to Varnum, losing 65-28 to the Lady Whippets Tuesday evening.
Asher fell behind 18-9 after the first quarter and never made up the deficit.
The Lady Indians knocked down 3 three-pointers in the loss.
Kat Dixson led Asher with 11 points.
Asher (6-8) will face Earlsboro in the Jim Walling Tournament Thursday. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.

Asher fell to Class B No. 5 Varnum 52-50 in the nightcap Tuesday.
The Indians trailed 30-24 at halftime, but a 19-9 fourth quarter gave Asher a chance until the very end.
McDonald scored a game-high 21 points in the loss.
Trevor Martin added a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Patch Hamilton added seven points, 10 rebounds and four blocks in the loss.
Asher (7-7) will face Sasakwa in the opening round of the Jim Walling Classic Thursday afternoon. Tipoff is set for 2:30 p.m. at Earlsboro High School.
