In two recent meetings, Pottawatomie County commissioners have approved school purchases with funds derived from the county's education sales tax.
Bethel Public Schools was approved to purchase a five-camera system and two docking stations in the amount of $4,858, along with a total of ten 86” flat panel touch screens for $32,000.
Bethel Public Schools also will be able to purchase football helmets for $4,425.95.
The board has also given approval for Tecumseh Public Schools to purchase one or more Apple I-pads and Apple pencils for $19,077.
Also at a recent meeting, commissioners, after meeting in executive session, accepted an offer from Citizen Potawatomi Nation for the purchase of the south annex, formerly known as the Mission Hill Hospital site. The purchase approval was subject to the satisfaction of the final document, an executed lease with Cornerstone and final approval from the Department of the Interior.
