BYNG — Bethel’s girls outscored McGuinness 18-0 in the third quarter en route to a 56-18 riddling in a consolation matchup at the Byng Tournament Friday.

Bethel had 11 players get in the scoring column while McGuinness had just three.

Kelsie Wood topped Bethel’s scoring with 10. Paige Hubler added seven while Kassidy Depuy and Peyton Meiler finished with six apiece.

Bethel led 24-9 at the intermission.

The Lady Wildcats will play in today’s consolation championship.

Boys

Hugo outscored Bethel 19-10 in the final quarter to register a 52-44 consolation win.

Drae Wood was Bethel’s leading scorer with 12 points, followed by Ryan Depuy with 11.

Wood was accurate on two 3-point field goals.

Bethel (3-9) will conclude its Byng Tournament stay Saturday with an 11:30 a.m. matchup with Duncan.
