RIPLEY — Freshman Trip Davis hit a free throw with 2.7 seconds remaining Friday night, allowing Prague to outlast Kiefer 74-73 in three overtimes in a Ripley Tournament semifinal matchup.

It was the only point Davis scored as Prague improved to 8-3. The Red Devils will square off against Chandler in Saturday’s 8:20 championship game.

Regulation play ended in a 53-53 deadlock. Both teams scored eight points in the first overtime and five points in the second OT. Prague outscored Kiefer 8-7 in the final overtime.

Isaac Bloomer of Prague was the game’s leading scorer with 29 points, including two 3-pointers. Braden McGinnis tallied 18 points and Haden Hale collected 13, including four treys. Hale had vital back-to-back 3-pointers near the end of regulation and added another trey in overtime.

Prague defeated Chandler by 30 points earlier in the season.

Girls

Kiefer scooted past semifinal foe Prague 47-33, largely because of a 17-4 advantage in the third quarter.

Taylor Hodges propelled Prague offensively with 11 points, followed by Chloe McClendon with 10. Hodges was accurate on three 3-pointers and McClendon sank two from long range.

Prague, 7-4, will test Chandler in Saturday’s 4:20 third-place game.
