EARLSBORO – Macomb played a great third quarter, unfortunately they couldn't put together a full game, losing 65-26 to Sasakwa in a consolation game at the Jim Walling Classic Saturday.

The Hornets trailed 33-15 at halftime.

Emmett McNutt, Ian Horn, Alex Berry and Brett Berry rallied for a 19-11 third quarter, but were held to two points total in the final frame.

McNutt led the charge in the third quarter with six points. He finished with 16 points in the loss.

Sasakwa's Noah Jones led all scorers with 19. Gaylen Leetka added 16 points and knocked down 4 three-pointers.

The Hornets lost to Smithville 62-30 in the opening round and beat Earlsboro 45-44 in the consolation bracket.

Macomb (10-8) will face Class B No. 18 New Lima Tuesday.
