EARLSBORO - Alexxis Coon dropped 24 points, but the Lady Wildcats couldn't keep pace with Class A No. 12 Smithville, losing 63-41 in the championship game of the Jim Walling Classic Saturday evening.

Earlsboro trailed 35-19 at intermission. Coon scored 13 of her points in the first half. She knocked down two treys early in the game.

Breanna Nadeau chipped in with 12 points in the finals. Abbey McCarroll finished with three points and Tatum Harjo scored two to round out the scoring for Earlsboro.

Smithville knocked down 6 three-pointers. Makayla Miller hit three treys in the first quarter and had a team-high 19 points for the tournament champions.

The Lady Wildcats won their opening round matchup 39-28 over Asher, and a 56-51 win over Class A No. 14 Dewar in the semifinals.

Earlsboro (8-8) will return to action Jan. 19 when they host Class B No. 10 Strother.
