STROUD – Anthony Billy dropped 24 points and the Tecumseh Savages beat 2A No. 12 Luther 65-53 Saturday in the third place game at the Stroud Tournament.
Billy made 7 of 11 from the field and shot 90-percent at the charity stripe.
Tecumseh started hot with a 21-point first quarter and were never in jeopardy the rest of the way.
The Savages led 32-22 at halftime.
Jayden Schafer finished with 11 points.
The Lady Savages pulled out a 37-32 overtime victory in a consolation game Saturday.
Katelyn LaFrance blocked a shot at the buzzer that allowed Tecumseh to pull out the win in overtime.
In overtime, Tecumseh was up three when Chantel Evans knocked down two free throws and sealed the game for the Lady Savages. Evans finished with eight points.
Addison Day led Tecumseh with 12 points. Madison Day finished with 11 points.
Both Tecumseh squads will face Mount St. Mary in a road contest Tuesday.
