Oklahoma Baptist (7-7, 3-5) vs. Southern Nazarene (5-9 4-4)


Oklahoma Baptist is 7-7 overall and 3-5 GAC, tied with Arkansas-Monticello and Ouachita Baptist for seventh in the league…Won 63-59 at Arkansas Tech University…Won two of their last three…Playing at home for the 11th time this season where they are 5-5 at the Noble Complex

Southern Nazarene 5-9 overall and 4-4 GAC, alone in sixth place…SNU has won three of their last four games…They are 1-5 on the road with their lone victory a 68-54 victory at Arkansas Tecgh.

SNU was 10-16 last season, 8-14 in GAC, tied for eighth with three others… SNU was one of only two conference teams to beat first-place Southwestern Oklahoma in the regular-season beat the Bulldogs 86-81 in the season finale…SNU's top returner is Adrienne Berry who was named to the second team GAC after leading her team in scoring averaging 14.4 points per game.

Teams are meeting for the 90th time…SNU leads all-time series 58-31…Teams are 3-3 as NCAA Division II members.

In the last meeting, SNU won 73-70 on Feb. 19, 2018 in Shawnee... Mackenzie Cooper had 20 point to lead the Lady Bison while Tasha Edge pulled down a season-best 17 rebounds.


Oklahoma Baptist won 63-59 against Arkansas Tech in Russellville, Ark. on Jan. 12…Charissa Price had 18 points, all of which came on six made three-pointers.

SNU was beaten 66-53 by Harding on Jan. 12 in Searcy, Ark…Adrienne Berry had 12 points to lead the Crimson Storm in scoring. 


Oklahoma Baptist ranks fourth in the GAC in scoring, averaging 72.4 points a game…The Lady Bison are unbeaten in three games when they score 77 or more points.

Autumn Avina ranks third in the GAC in scoring (17.9 ppg.), first in assists (8.3) and first in steals (56)…She recorded a triple-double (18 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists) on Jan. 5 against Ouachita Baptist to earn both GAC and USBWA Player-of-the-Week Honors.


SNU is 11th in the GAC in scoring, averaging 61.7 points…SNU is 3-1 when they score 70 or more points with an 82-70 loss to Augustana their only blemish.

Abby Niehues, whose father Jay is the women's coach at Redlands, is the GAC leading shot blocker with 40, nearly double that of second-place Kari Whaley of Henderson with 23.

Adrienne Berry leads the team in scoring (11.5) and three-point field goals (27)…Her high point effort was 20 in a win over Ouachita Baptist.
