VANOSS — Fourth-ranked (Class 2A) Vanoss upended Asher 57-48 Friday night.

Patch Hamilton of Asher was the game’s scoring leader with 17, including 11 in the third quarter.

Trevor Martin produced 10 points and Mike McDonald nine (seven in first half) for Asher.

Girls

Vanoss, ranked third, whipped Asher 67-25 after building up a 33-13 intermission lead.

Lizzie Simpson of Vanoss recorded 22 points and teammate Emrie Ellis had 13.

For Asher, 8-11, Bailey Larman contributed 16 points, including two 3-point field goals. Sarah Fleming also had a trey.

Asher will launch Pott County Invitational Tournament play Tuesday. Asher’s girls will meet Wellston at 6:40. Asher’s boys will collide with Earlsboro at 8.
