SHAWNEE – The Earlsboro Lady Wildcats led 45-44 to start the fourth quarter, but were unable to keep the lead, losing 64-60 in the opening round of the Pottawatomie County Tournament Tuesday.

The Lady Wildcats were no match for Breanna Jaggars who went off for 40 points and knocked down 7 three-pointers in the win.

Earlsboro held the lead in each quarter, yet managed to fall behind as time slipped off the clock.

At halftime the Lady Wildcats trailed 27-24.

Brianna Nadeau led Earlsboro with 20 points. She also hauled in nine rebounds and blocked two shots. Nadeau just missed a double-double, as eight of her rebounds came on the offensive end of the floor.

Alexxis Coon recorded 18 points, five rebounds, two steals and two blocks.

Tatum Harjo recorded a double-double, scoring 10 points and adding 10 rebounds.

Abbey McCarroll led Earlsboro with four assists. She scored seven points in defeat.

Earlsboro will play in consolation action against Macomb Friday at 4 p.m.
